She works with top breeders throughout the Midwest on all aspects of their breeding programs including: male and female reproductive evaluations, pregnancy management, neonatal care and infertility disorders. Dr. Jo has broad experience in artificial, transcervical, and surgical inseminations using fresh, chilled semen or frozen semen.

Dr. Jo enjoys hiking, fly fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, all outdoor activities and being with her family!

Dr. Jason Randall, DVM

Thanks to a successful 30-year career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Jay has a plethora of touching stories. His favorites, however, involve meeting young families who raise their children with pets. He loves watching the families create unique bonds that stay with them for life; much like the wonderful memories he has for his first dog, Rags. When Rags was diagnosed with diabetes, Dr. Jay remembers how a compassionate doctor helped add years to the dog’s life, allowing him to remain an important part of the family. Through that process, Dr. Jay decided to be a veterinarian.

After graduating from the University of Illinois in 1983, he gained extensive surgical experience at the Animal Emergency Center of Lake County, where he focused on trauma surgery and wound management. Since opening the Animal Hospital of Woodstock in 1991, Dr. Jay has pursued specialty interests in ultrasound, completing a five-year commitment to advanced ultrasound training, endoscopic diagnostic procedures and laser surgery, for which he has acted as a national laser surgery consultant.

Outside the office, Dr. Jay enjoys spending time with his family, writing and pursuing outdoor sports such as hunting, hiking, camping and fly-fishing. He also remains an active member in the community by participating in his church and the Woodstock Rotary Club.

       Dr. Chris Shule, DVM

Dr. Chris Shule grew up in a rural farm community in Walnut, Illinois. As a youngster, he looked up to and admired "Doc" Smith, the town veterinarian, the way other boys wanted to be a fireman or a pro baseball player. He attended the University of Illinois for both undergraduate and veterinary school. After graduating with high honors, he practiced general small animal medicine in downtown Chicago for 14 years. For the last several years, he has been concurrently working at various emergency clinics. Dr. Chris has special interests in internal medicine, oncology, surgery and emergency medicine.

Outside of the animal world, his philanthropic efforts focus on volunteering with brain injury survivors. When he is not busy working, Dr. Chris enjoys spending time with his teenage son and pets, Frankie, a rat terrier mix, and Roby, his cat. He also spends time barbecuing, listening to music, casual gardening, and playing sports with his son. Dr. Chris has always been very active in sports. Having started golfing at age five, he also played baseball, football, and basketball. He is currently an avid volleyball player, both indoor and beach. A huge Bears and Cubs fan, he enjoys “ballhawking” with his son outside the confines of Wrigley Field.

 Dr. Spencer White, DVM

Dr. Spencer White grew up in the small farming community of Taylorville, IL. Helping out on his grandparents' farm, he was instilled with the importance of taking care of animals and the significance of the relationship we share with them. His grandparents' early lessons influenced and encouraged him to seek out a career in veterinary medicine.

He attended the University of Illinois for both undergraduate and veterinary school. During this time at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Spencer served as the class representative for the class of 2014 and president of Omega Tau Sigma, the professional veterinary fraternity focusing on philanthropic efforts throughout the Champaign-Urbana community. He graduated in May of 2014.

Dr. Spencer is very excited to be part of such a wonderful team! His special interests are oncology, reproduction and neurology.

During his free time, Dr. Spencer pursues a very wide range of interests. Camping, hiking, fishing, ice fishing, Frisbee golf and most outdoor activities are a the top of his list. When not engaged in these outside activities, he enjoys reading, writing, acting, watching movies and spending time with his close friends and family. Most of all, Dr. Spencer enjoys spending his time with his dog Freckles, adopted 3 years ago.

Dr. Dustin Babler, DVM

Dr. Dustin was born and raised in Woodridge, IL. At a very young age his family instilled in him a compassion for serving others. From volunteering with the Salvation army to spending Sundays at Church, this compassion has grown throughout his life. Eventually his passion for serving others was molded with his love for animals which led him on his journey into the world of veterinary medicine. The combination of these passions has lead him all over the world; traveling to Juarez, Mexico to build homes; to Montrouis, Haiti to work at an orphanage; and to Heredia, Costa Rica with Christian Veterinary Missions where he offered veterinary care for the local livestock and pets.

His journey ultimately  led Dr. Dustin to the University of Illinois where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences as well as his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, his passions flourished. He served as the ethics committee representative for the college and he became the founder and President of the Diagnostic Imaging Club. His accomplishments in diagnostic imaging earned him the American College of Veterinary Radiology's Senior Student Award. He has continued to refine his skills in practice. His particular areas of focus lie in ultrasound, cardiology, and surgery.

When Dr. Dustin isn't working or traveling on mission trips abroad, he enjoys spending his free time outdoors. Anything from hunting, fishing, camping, or even just going on runs and hikes with his pup named Dierks, you won't find him inside on a sunny day!
